I'm Not Going to Talk About College Football

Considering the fact that I have been talking about college football a lot in my last few articles, I have decided that I am going to take a break. After all, there is only so much college football that people can take, so I'm not going to talk about college football. At all.

Nope, not me. I'm not talking about college football. After all, there isn't much to talk about these days. The games are over and another exciting season has been put to bed. Two teams have gone #1 and #2 all season and now they are going to play for a national title in the Rose Bowl, but I'm not going to talk about that.

And I'm not going to talk about the inane discussions in Congress that are, for some reason, focusing on whether college football needs a playoff. After all, that is college football and I'm not going to mention another word about the fact that college football is, in many ways, popular simply because it is the only sport that cannot be summed up in the following phrase, "Wake me for the playoffs." I could say that, but I'm not going to. Because I'm not saying a darned thing about college football.

Nor am I going to talk about the impending excitement of the bowl season and the fact that I get to watch a game almost every night. Nor am I going to talk about the exciting matchups, such as Ohio State-Notre Dame, or JoePa vs. Bowden, or Georgia-West Virginia, or Oregon-Oklahoma, or LSU-Miami, or UCLA-Northwestern, or Auburn-Wisconsin, or Alabama-Texas Tech. No, I'm not going to talk about these games or any other game that will be going on when the bowl season kicks off on December 20. Not a word from me, because I'm not talking about college football.
