A Norse epic written entirely in verse. The composition is often difficult, as there are only so many words that rhyme with "helm" and "earth". However, that is the way it started, and that is the way it will finish.
Thanks go out to Joel Gonzalez, Brent Horner, Justin Lute, and Alan Paul for their advice, and a very big thank you Robin Tettenhorst for her excellent advice on some phrasing and her very thorough proofreading. Thank you also to Deborah Weddleman for letting me know about an excellent resource for fonts at Dieter Steffman @ typOasis. The font I have used to add some flair to the text is, of course, Viking. An illuminated manuscript would be excellent, but attempts on my part to produce some decent opening letters have not gone as well as hoped. Anyone with the inclination and a lot of time on their hands is more than welcome to help in this regard.
The epic will be released in installments, as that will buy some time that will hopefully be used to finish the first half of the saga. It also means I do not have to footnote everything all at once, which has proven to be very time consuming. This will obviously become easier as I run into repeating footnotes. Chapter 1 was especially difficult, what with all the references to gods and places that may not all that familiar.
With that said, there is but one more thing:
"Come Bragi! Guide my simple words!
Come Odin! Bring poetic mead!"
