Sif

Not much is known about Sif, except that she is Odin's wife and she is very beautiful. She is originally thought to have been a fertility goddess, but every single goddess in any country in any language is thought to have originally been a fertility goddess, so take that for what it is worth.

One story known of Sif is that Loki cut her hair off as a practical joke while she was sleeping. When Thor saw this, he threatened to smash Loki if he did not replace her hair. Loki received strands of gold from a pair of dwarves that would attach to Sif's head and grow like normal hair.
